The Leasing/ Rental Sales Representative at Trailer X-Press is a friendly, people-oriented, and persuasive steward of the leasing/ rental sales process. This role will support our customers’ rental and leasing needs. The Leasing/ Rental Sales Representative will be the front-line hero by assisting them in making informed decisions, providing guidance on our rentals, and resolving any issues they might face.

This position has a competitive compensation package that is a combination of base salary plus a commission plan with no cap.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop & Maintain customer database.
  • Keep track of trailers on lease/rent each month.
  • Perform quarterly checks with the Credit Manager to make sure customers are in good standing.
  • Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and new customers.
  • Generate and establish new accounts by researching, calling on and building relationships with new customers.
  • Service existing accounts in territory
  • Obtain orders.
  • Assist in renting out excess equipment.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and following up after a resolution is found.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications.
  • Establish personal networks.
  • Participate in professional societies.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends any changes in products, services and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Prepares and informs management of activity and results; weekly.
  • Prepares and coordinates monthly review with management.
  • Prepares report each month for trailers that qualify for lease/rent commission.
  • Report commissions on first Monday of every month to VP of Trailer X-Press
  • Communicates with Trailer X-Press staff in Grand Rapids as needed.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Handle operational responsibilities such as checking in / out trailers as needed.
  • Organizing parts, decals, etc. as needed
  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude.
  • Show respect to coworkers.
  • Communicate as a team player.
  • Prepare, generate and turn in expense reports; monthly.
  • Self -Start by planning & organizing daily work schedule.

REQUIREMENTS
\*Must Have\*

  • 2–4 years of related sales experience; or an advanced degree or equivalent experience converting prospects into closed sales.
  • Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills. Committed to seeing deals through completion.
  • Accountability and ownership of the sales process and a strong commitment to results.
  • Comfortable with a job that has a variety of tasks and is dynamic and changing.
  • Proactive prospecting skills and can overcome objections; driven to establish relationships with new customers.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, logical manner in formal and informal situations.

\*Nice to Have\*

  • Rental and/or Sales Experience in the industry.
  • Proficiency in CRMs and sales tracking systems, [please apply online] etc.
